New Hotel in Miami Beach Opens

The Mondrian in South Beach opened last week – it’s the newest hotel in Miami Beach, and even includes private residences and condo-hotel ownership.

The Mondrian was designed as “Sleeping Beauty’s Castle” and is filled with fantasy-like furniture and elements…

…including an adult-sized sandbox and beach cabanas with live foliage curtains.

Plus, the Mondrian is home to South Beach’s newest night hot spot, Sunset Lounge, and the cutting edge Asia de Cuba restaurant.

Hotels in Hawaii Increase 1Q Revenue

Hotels in Hawaii have seen reached a record high revenue for the first quarter at $859.5 million…despite other areas of the country fearful of a depression, according to the latest Hawaii Hotels Flash Report.

Hawaii was second behind Miami for the top 25 hotel markets for occupancy during the first quarter. Miami had an occupancy rate of 81.4 percent compared with Hawaii’s 78.5 percent.
